Move beyond your preconceptions into a state of authentic discovery with collaborative masters Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse. Through a deliberately limited palette of materials, you will engage in creating 48 quick artworks. This is not about perfection it’s about letting go of control to uncover surprising moments of interest and meaning. Guided critiques throughout will help you recognize patterns, break habits, and reframe your relationship to your own work. You will select one or two of your 48 pieces to develop further. Leave with new work and a renewed confidence in where the unexpected can lead! |

This Class is taught by Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse
Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse are a collaborative duo whose installations, sculptures, and drawings explore themes of water, ecology, and resilience. Their work is held in museum, private, and public collections worldwide. Notable projects include Circle of Water for the Florida Wildlife Corridor Gallery, an Artist-At-Sea residency with the Schmidt Ocean Institute, and the public television series High Water Marks. Mickett, who holds a Ph.D. in philosophy, brings a background in writing, curation, and public dialogue. Stackhouse, holds an MA in art from the University of Maryland and an honorary doctorate from University of South Florida has solo work is in collections such as the Museum of Modern Art and the National Gallery of Art.
